7th October 2017 Coffee and cakes at Garvestone

Coffee, cakes,  music and a presentation on a Saturday morning. As part of Norfolk’s Black History Month, the Mudeka Foundation trustees and volunteers showed off their baking skills. Whilst participants enjoyed refreshments (including coffee and tea sourced from Africa) they watched Elisabeth Louis’s presentation describing how the Mudeka Foundation helps to educate children in Zimbabwe and detailing our recent successes.  Anna Mudeka entertained both helpers and guests with a mbira set. We are so grateful for the way in which guests emptied the table that had been groaning under the weight of cakes and scones and for their generous donations. This event raised £465 and resulted in personal sponsorship for 3 more children – a tribute to the generosity of the guests and the quality of the food.

Thank you to all who took part.
